Our first order of business today was to walk to the corner to visit an antique market, Patina Market
But, on the way, we stopped at an...
| The estate sale was in the back yard, garage and throughout the house. |
| This is the Patina Market filled with specialty items. |
| We returned "home" for lunch and will go back to another island, The Isle of Palms, to rent bikes. |
| On our way to the Isle of Palms we took the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge which is another one of many amazing wonders of the world and an incredible engineering feat. |
| We rented these bikes for the day and rode the beaches. 8 blocks to the south and 12 blocks to the north. |
| Jan stopped to visit and gather some local information. |
| If you are able try to magnify this picture hopefully you'll be able to spot the dolphin fins. |
| This one has dolphin fins too if you look really close. |
After going south for 8 blocks we traveled north for 12 blocks from the place we started. Way in the distance is a pier which is close to the place we entered the beach to ride our bikes. |
| We're almost back to our starting place. |
These two ladies live in Charleston. The reason I took their picture with Jan is because we were second in line and then left to sit on some benches. When the line started to form we took our place at the back of the line. They came back to us and said, "We're saving your spot, because you were here before us." How thoughtful is that? |
| Trying to figure out what to order for tonight's meal. |
| I took this picture of Jan looking back because I wanted to show the backpack Connie Meyer made for Jan as a special gift she gave to us after their last visit with us in Saint Charles. |
End of Day 5 (minus the travel days)
